The Adventures of BlobBob

"Eh"

date: April 5, 2005

This is a well made game, but has a few issues:

The music is repetitive and eventually gets annoying.

When BlobBob is moving to the left, the screen doesn't scroll enough. BlobBob is nearly on the left edge of the screen, and it's difficult to react to new obstacles. The scrolling should've been tightened up so BlobBob is in the center of the screen as often as possible.

Other than that, this is pretty good.

Flash DDR (All Your Base)

"Not bad"

date: March 11, 2005

I liked the remix. I can understand not including a video since that would probably just be distracting, but even just a picture of Cats to fit the theme would've made this better. I can also understand the lack of difficulty since this seems to be made for beginners (since you include an apparently mandatory tutorial at the beginning), but at the same time I wish this was harder and that the beats fit the music better. The sound is generally good, but the cheering and announcer shouting "EXCELLENT EMOTION!" get annoying very quickly, and make it very difficult to enjoy the music. You did a good job, but others have done better in the four years since this came out.

Pupkin

"Wow"

submission: Pupkin
date: March 7, 2005

I've heard nothing but bad things about Pupkin, but I was bored and desperate to procrastinate from homework so I delved into your archives and was surprised. This, both the comics and this flash, are possibly the strangest things I have ever seen. Your mind has tapped into a vein of pure, concentrated nonsense. I mean that in a good way, though; I like weird humor, and this is VERY weird. "ALL HAIL JESUS!" is one of the best lines I've ever heard. You are a disturbingly creative person, and it's a shame that you ended the first Pupkin series mid-plot-arc to eventually start that terrible Non-Identical Triplet thing.

Good luck with the new Pupkin series.

The Ninja (stopmotion)

"Eh"

Your animation is better than you give yourself credit for, but all of your voices sound the same. Robots just shouldn't sound like 14 year olds.

Author's Response:

haha, thats finny seeing half the voices weren't me.

The Most Annoying Flash

"Heh"

date: March 7, 2005

I have to admit, that was pretty good. Contrary to what your Author's Comments seem to indicate though, it's actually possible for someone to disagree with your opinions without being a moron. I liked the All Your Base video and Numa Numa myself, but more for the music the videos used than the videos themselves. And although I laughed at the Gary=Hitler thread that kept coming up throughout the whole thing, that's not really fair to Gary. If you looked enough into the Numa Numa fad, specifically the NY Times article on it, you'd know that Gary regrets releasing Numa Numa onto the web and just wants to be left alone. So if nothing else, you can take satisfaction in that the creator of this leviathan shows remorse. I'd type more coherently but it's 1:37 am and I'm tired so I'll use goofy words if I want. I guess that I made my point though, and you definitely made yours, so I'll just say good job and be on my way.

Good job, man.

My GOD, Robots! episode 2

"Cool"

date: March 4, 2005

This is definitely better than the first episode. The voices were were a lot clearer, but for some reason I don't really like Fulker's voice. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it just seems obvious that the voice coming out of his mouth isn't his. The animation and humor were great though; I liked how you poked fun at yourself with the "INCOHERENTLY!" running gag. This reminds me of a lot of things - Futurama, Invader Zim, Bonus Stage - but I mean that in a good way.

Fulp Bros. Bo Dandy

"Feh"

date: March 3, 2005

Wow, it's kinda like Dan Hibiki's Armegeddon, only all of the entertaining parts were replaced with useless shock humor! "BALLS! URINE! NUDE DISNEY CHARACTER!! VOTE FIFEN!!!111LOL". In fact, that exact Tom Fulp was in Dan Hibiki's Armegeddon and that came out about six months before this pap. I can even hear some bits and pieces of the song in Armegeddon (The part shouting "Altoids! Altoids!"). And btw, I'm on broadband and there were still several skips in the audio, since for some reason you seem to have decided to piece together a new song out of pieces of other, better songs. This is an inferior, juvenille knockoff of an animuation, and Armegeddon (while pretty good) isn't even the best animutation to rip off! Why not make a flash off of the Crocodile Dundee character in Neil Cicierega's "Untitled" while using 15 seconds each from that song and 9 or 10 other german-sounding songs you downloaded off of Kazaa? Ooh, and you could google image-search "dildo" to get the images you didn't take from other flashes! I'm sorry but- well actually, I'm not sorry. This is just plain terrible.

Author's Response:

I actually didn't rip this off, I got permission and the .gif files from Mr. Homie himself. The song is called "Anton aus Tirol" by DJ Otzi, and I downloaded a remix, so it was by the same person. Plus I made this a while ago so I wasn't very good at it. And I'd like to see you do something better D-Bag.

PWNED.

Norimaro's Kikaida Hoedwn

"Cool"

date: March 3, 2005

This is a lot better than your other animutation. You cut out (most) of the potty humor, your animation's improved, and although this is just personal preference I liked the song a lot more too. This flash deserves a score in the 3.00-3.50 range IMO, which makes this horrible score very suspicious. I'd guess that somebody who doesn't like you has been voting 0s to get back at you for some perceived injustice. Do you have any enemies over the internet? Good job overall, if you ever make another I'll be there to vote 5.

Conan's Quest for Peace

"Not bad"

date: March 3, 2005

The animation was very good; it's a shame how many people making animutations don't realize the importance of bright colorful backgrounds and a frantic pace, but you've got that covered and you even found your own images instead of using icons like Colin Mochrie and Matthew Lesko that show up all the time in other animutations. That doesn't make it any better, but it shows that you put in effort and this and originality is always cool. The shit/fart/piss jokes didn't really add anything though, that sort of thing always comes off to me as being immature and annoying instead of funny. "FART! URINE! FECES!!! LOLOLOLLLOLOLLOL Y R U NOT LAUGHING YET??!!1" and whatnot. Luckily it didn't happen very much so I can live with it. The sound effects though come close to ruining this. There's too many of them, they're too loud, they're a distraction from the music and the animation, and in general they're a nuisance, especially all that screaming towards the end. There's good stuff in here but execution's a bit off.

Aye Aye Sucka Sucka

"Wow"

date: March 3, 2005

That's just like the sort of music I want to write; the lyrics were a brilliant pile of nonsense. As for the video, there wasn't enough variety. The images stayed on screen for way too long, the empty white backgrounds were jarring, and most of the time there simply wasn't much going on other than the song. It's a decent effort but so much more could've been done. I guess animutation's really evolved over the last three years.
